Other Description

This original painting was inspired by the monument on Oulart Hill in Co.Wexford, Ireland. I took a semi abstract approach to it but used the monument as the focal point of the painting. Tulach a’ tSolais is, in the words of TK Whitaker ‘dedicated to 1798 in it’s particular context of the European Enlightenment’. It is the largest and perhaps the most nuanced monument in the world to 1798.

Limited Edition Giclée Prints are high quality copies of the original painting. My prints are:

*Print size:H20xW20cm/Mount size:H25xW25cm

*Printed on 100% archival cotton rag paper (acid and lignin free)

*Mounted in a white lignin free, alkaline sized mount (ready for you to frame)

*Signed, numbered and titled on the front of the mount

*Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist

*Sealed in a clear presentation bag

*Packaged in recycled cardboard and a reinforced envelope

*Shipped on a registered service

GICLÉE PRINTS
A Giclée Print is a high quality print produced using high resolution images of original works and an ink-jet printer. The piece is printed using giclée, a process that involves squirting microscopic dots of ink onto fine-quality archival paper or canvas. The ink is actually absorbed into the paper, giving the piece a look very close to the original.

In combination with Epson UltraChrome HDR inks the image is archival quality and will last for 70-100 years before fading. Normal care must be taken, no direct sunlight, framed behind glass with archival mount board and not hung above heat sources.
