About the Artist
I was born and raised in Sweden and moved to Co Clare, Ireland, 1994 ,where I still live and work.
Having grown up in an artistic, creative home formed a lively imagination and an insatiable curiosity. I get my inspiration from nature, literature, architecture and many other things. Mostly self taught, my work tends to be more abstract/surreal than realistic. I am intrigued by how familiar things can change in not-so-familiar settings and how lines, shapes, colours can interact in the most surprising ways. While oil is my preferred medium, I also use ink, acrylic, graphite and colour pencils.
I want my pictures to spark off a chain of thoughts – wherever those thoughts may take the spectator.
I am a member of the artist group “Inis Artists” and have exhibited extensively in Ireland with them.
