About the Artist
I am an Irish artist dividing my time between Cornamona, Co. Galway and Berlin, Germany.
Having completed a degree in History of Art at Trinity College Dublin in 1999, I embarked on my Grand Tour around the world for 14 years before moving to Germany to focus on my art full-time.
I am concentrating my creative energy on acrylic painting and developing a cohesive collection.
‘Pale blue clouds, pink stained skies and the soft line where the air meets the land and sea…’
My paintings are inspired by my native west of Ireland and the many other lands traveled since.
René Magritte, Emil Nolde, Paul Henry, David Hockney, Sean Scully and Georgia O’Keefe are some of the artists I am influenced by and draw inspiration from.
This has been a challenging and amazing year. I managed to organize my first solo exhibition with so much help from friends – thank you! As a result of that I was invited to participate in an exciting group show that will be exhibited through 2018.
In October this year I hope to move to a larger studio where I can continue to pay tribute to the natural world, and to explore the uncertainty and freedom of not belonging anywhere or to anyone.
